To Be or Not to Be
To Be or Not to BeThe question posed today to see,
Just what the Spirit would thus say,
To help us on our way;
The question posed in time and space,
Is far from Truth where there's no place,
That's different from what Love is,
Sure gibberish, for mortals', quiz;
But Spirit, ever gentle is,
Does offer help to mortals' quiz,
And asks "what would you not to be?"
For Spirit knows that we are free.
"Surely I am not free", says I,
"The life I live, I wonder why,
Awaiting but assault or death,
my plan always, "avoid this mess."
So Spirit smiles to me and says,
"You're in a dream of nothing else
A wish you made, you've now forgot,
To be Yourself is what it's not."
But Spirit One, your words are cloaked,
I ask should I be like other folk?
Or different than they would be,
Unique and sweet for them to see?
So Spirit smiles again to me,
And says that Love's for All, not me,
Including me, but not alone,
For All is All, you're but a clone.
You mean says I "I Seem to be,
a clone of something else than Thee,
someone who loves selectively,
not like their Lord's reality"
Now Spirit winks, and smiles again,
And says, you're closer than you think, my friend,
To understanding your answer to
The question posed today by you.
You answer it in fear you see,
Yourself so quick, that you don't see,
"to Be" you never want to Be,
but "Not" is what you seek to see.
Although you live in All with Me,
Your clone without, your mind does see,
For wishing but to be outside,
You don't see Love your truth inside.
There is no question Truth would hide,
"To Be" is it, the Truth inside,
"To Not" is but a wish to be,
Not All, nor Me, but a clone of me;
Every moment do you answer
The question that you ask
With thoughts imagined in the mind,
Of things that never last;
But Spirit answers once for all,
Forgiving what we thought,
That we could be a clone of All
In littleness that is not.
