Walking Within

Walking Within

Walking through the forest,
One sunny afternoon,
I heard a Meadow Lark behind,
Upon a branch, a tune

It sang a song of shear delight it
Blessed me as I walked,
My mind jumped hither yonder,
As I listened in delight

Under the dream, another,
It was hidden by the sun,
A dream of pain and loneliness,
To make me feel 'not One'

To make me fear returning
To His Grace and Oneness Love,
To make me seek the world instead,
It's but a Wizard's buzz

The Wizard raised his hand to me,
He points with scorn and hate,
Accusing me, betraying him,
I ask is this my fate?

Another voice comes gently,
From in my heart of love,
It says "be gentle with yourself"
It's all a dream,
Be Love

Thoughts

We have all kinds of thoughts that occur in our mind, and we tend to believe they are "our thoughts." Often they are contradictory, proving that we are not "of one mind."

ACIM talks of the "split-mind" as a way of understanding our journey home.

It says that thoughts seem to have a direction. They seem to move you towards Separation (fear) or towards Oneness (Love). Once we see this, we can choose which thoughts to follow.Eventually we can choose to follow no thought at all.
