Transformation

Transformation, one two three,
easy business, we can see,
renew, add power, modernize,
adjust, rebudget, scrutinize,

Test to see if it did work,
watch the projects deliver work,
renew the staff, give them a push,
reduce the run cost, shake the bush,

It's all in a day at work,
to change the world, to be the cook,
the meal prepared of balance is,
for one and all, "I" "T"'s the quiz.

What will it mean when supper's done?
Will there be time to have some fun?
Will smiles be seen on Daniel's face?
or will grimace just take it's place?

It will depend how far we go,
and how each one says "yes" or "no"
if we say "yes" we more will smile,
if we say "no" we'll turn to bile.

This poem was written to the manager in charge of IT, after she had held a presentation on the new IT organization, and asked for feedback. Daniel was her only direct report, a person that I only saw smile once --when I thanked him for giving me the boot.
She never replied to me.
